Our Duplication of TSAR by VAN CLEEF & ARPLES #357

You'll find that most people agree about the best decade for music. The 1980's. Then it may come as no surprise that hit fragrances, specifically fougères (barbershop scents), came from this period of time also. The perfumer for this, #357, has masterfully captured a reminisced moment in time. Originally (1989) this fragrance was marketed toward men, but my wife and both my adult daughters enjoy wearing this also. This is an exquisite balance of so many ingredients that results in the most alluring, aromatic, green, spicy, floral ...mossy masterpiece!

As a teenager, Tsar was one of my go-to scents, a fragrance I’d often buy and wear before heading to nightclubs. Its blend of spicy, woody notes with hints of lavender, amber, and bergamot made it both bold and refined. I was disappointed when it was eventually discontinued, as it had become a signature scent for me. So when I saw that The Dupe Spot was recreating Tsar, I was eager to try it. Their version is impressively close to the original, capturing the warm, spicy richness and subtle fresh top notes. It’s a great way to revisit a scent I’ve always enjoyed
